Yep. macca demanded Val pay, whereas he didn’t want any cash for the previous male mayors. Wonder what macca would demand if we silly voters elect a black Mayor?

perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye? perhaps the mayor DID know? is there any proof that she did?
perhaps people should stop displaying such blatant bias?
perhaps this is the only way Macca would accept Val on his show? we all know they’re buddies …

Perhaps they could’ve told her first so she could decide if she wanted to help pay Macca’s wages as well as improve his ratings. Don’t get too upset about the Post . . .it’s a tabloid after all and its the headlines that sell the papers. I might even switch from JJJ to 846 on Friday mornings (I take that back!)

What’s the big deal?

This “Cash for Comment” frenzy makes no sense at all. The Cairns Regional Council has simply arranged some time with a local radio station so that the public can have free and open conversation with the Mayor. A jolly good initiative if you ask me.

And when you compare it to the exorbitant cost of advertising, I’d say that the Council cut themselves a really good bargain. Another example of responsible use of ratepayers money. Lets keep an eye on the big picture – cash for comment is when someone else pays you to say good things about them, not when you buy yourself a bit of airtime to talk about yourself.
